The wooden crucifix at the Oakland Diocese Lafayette Retreat Center at the newly built chapel, was so impactful to me as I photographed this beautiful liturgy and blessing of the altar, truly a gift from the heart of the craftsman. I had never been to the retreat center before, but found the grounds filled with peace and solitude.
