Also, recently came across TerraCycle.com where you can recycle products that would normally go to the landfill. They also send free labels to ship! Waste360 also has some educational articles that are fascinating and informative.

Opt out with the Consumer Credit Report Industry.

1. To opt out for a period of five years, call toll-free 1-888-OPT-OUT or visit the website @ www.optoutprescreen.com

2. To opt out permanently, visit www.optoutprescreen.com or call the toll free number listed. Keep in mind they will ask for your phone number, social security number, date of birth and other personal information. The companies will not share your data and will only use it to process your opt-out-request.

3. You can also register your mail and email addresses as names for credit card issuers to avoid when sending out offers @ www.DMAchoice.org (Direct Marketing Associate's consumer website).

Remember: You should pick up your mail every day, so that any parcel containing your private information isn't left for waiting mailbox burglars to pilfer. Dispose of any mail that contains your sensitive information by shredding, cutting or burning the envelopes and letters that contain your name, address and other personal data.
