California 4-H State Field Day at UC Davis:

I had the incredible opportunity today to be an evaluator at the 4-H Coding Challenge experience, and it was absolutely fantastic! 🚀💻

As an evaluator, I got to witness the brilliance and creativity of young minds as they showcased their coding skills and problem-solving abilities. It was truly inspiring to see these young innovators bring their ideas to life through coding.

The California State 4-H Coding Challenge experience provided a nurturing environment where participants learned new programming concepts, collaborated with their peers, and tackled real-world challenges. I was amazed by the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by these talented individuals.

Not only did I have the privilege of evaluating their projects, but I also had the chance to engage in insightful discussions with the participants and witness firsthand their passion for technology and making a positive impact on the world.

Kudos to California State 4-H for organizing such an incredible event that encourages young people to explore the world of coding and develop valuable skills for the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this experience and to witness the bright future ahead for these aspiring coders.

White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health


Feeling blessed to get invited to participate virtually in the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. Thanks to the Whitehouse for the preview call arranged last week for the upcoming conference attendees and changemakers in their communities.

As part of the National 4-H GIS/GPS Leadership Team representing California, I am working on a project initiative "Where's the food?" for the past one and half years as a GeoMentor. This high-impact initiative is a resource for people in the United States to help determine the healthiness of food in their community. As a scholar of this project, I gathered data around my county (Contra Costa, California) by employing the use of many different methods of gathering data for healthy food locations, and interviews with the San Ramon City Council, San Ramon Sheriff Department, Food Bank of Contra Costa in my community.

The goal of this high-impact project initiative is to find ways for restaurants and stores to sell healthier food without losing profits to improve the overall health of the community. The mission of my initiative as a GeoMentor is to create healthy, food-secure communities and strong, equitable regional food systems by ensuring fresh and local produce is accessible and affordable for all.

Special thanks to all my mentors from the National 4-H GIS/GPS Leadership Team for guiding all the state teen GeoMentors to work on this high-impact civic engagement project initiative since 2021.

Successfully presented my research paper at the AI Conference yesterday. I am grateful to all my school teachers, 4-H Mentors, and Research mentors for all their support, inspiration, and time for all the opportunities. Blessed to present my research paper about "Food Insecurity" to the university professors, and industrial experts at the AI Conference.
