The end of the school year 2025-2026 is here! Hooray for every opportunity families and their children had to read aloud together at home with the RAR red book bags. Hooray for every site, school, center, and literacy partner that made it possible. Thanks to their collaborative efforts, each child made incredible neuroconnections, increased vocabulary, and developed math, social-emotional, and cognitive skills and more.

Hooray! Keep reading, keep rising!

It is truly never too early to read to your baby. In fact, pediatricians recommend starting during pregnancy. In the very first month of life, babies are growing essential connections in the brain.

Reading with your baby strengthens the parent-child bond and provides a foundation for language development and learning.

Nunca es demasiado pronto para leerle a tu bebé. De hecho, los pediatras recomiendan empezar durante el embarazo. En el primer mes de vida, los bebés desarrollan conexiones cerebrales esenciales. Leerle a tu bebé fortalece el vínculo entre padres/madres e hijos y sienta las bases para el desarrollo del lenguaje y el aprendizaje.

Hoy se celebró la Caminata Anual de Madres organizada por el Centro de Apoyo Posparto, y fue un día hermoso e inspirador. Nos reencontramos con amigas, hicimos nuevas y recordamos la increíble fortaleza que existe en nuestra comunidad de madres y familias.

Algunas madres muy valientes compartieron sus historias personales y la realidad de que la depresión posparto puede afectar a las madres de maneras que quizás ni siquiera reconozcan al principio. Su honestidad, valentía y vulnerabilidad fueron un poderoso recordatorio de que ninguna madre debería sentirse sola.

Hay muchísimo amor, apoyo y compasión para TODAS las madres en el Centro de Apoyo Posparto y entre sus parejas. Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de colaborar con Ivana Jagodic y su increíble equipo mientras continúan con esta labor transformadora para las familias de nuestra comunidad.

Today was the Annual Mom’s Walk hosted by the Post Partum Support Center, and what a beautiful and inspiring day it was. We reconnected with old friends, made new ones, and were reminded of the incredible strength that exists within our community of mothers and families.

Some very brave mothers shared their personal stories and the reality that postpartum depression can affect mothers in ways they may not even recognize at first. Their honesty, courage, and vulnerability were powerful reminders that no mother should ever feel alone.

There is so much love, support, and compassion for ALL mothers at PPSC and among their partners. We are incredibly proud to partner with Ivana Jagodic and her amazing team as they continue this life-changing work for families in our community.
