Happy Memorial Day! Thanking all the brave men and women who’ve served🇺🇸

Not a day goes by when I don’t think of her… 13 years later and it doesn’t get any easier, I have just learned to live with the chip on my heart.

I still laugh to myself about all the inside jokes, all the times we shared, good and bad. We grew together, we had “life plans.” She was my plus one, until I met Joe.

Like a true bestie, she interrogated him to make sure he was, “what we where looking for in a partner.” She asked him all the right questions before briefing me on all his qualifications, and giving me her stamp of approval. Shortly after, she started dating “her person” and we were finally on our way to the next chapter of our lives.

We mapped out the future together, our 30th Bday’s, weddings and kids. Where we would live and what we would be doing and when.

To think all this time has gone by, and I still carry her with me wherever I am. She is my angel, and I will forever be grateful for all the time we shared together.

Sending love to everyone grieving the loss of a loved one, I wish I could say it gets easier, but you just learn to live with it, and carry on.

She lived to the fullest, and in her 29 short years with us, she had so many amazing adventures that most people would not have in a lifetime.

To say she inspires me in an understatement. I think about what she would do or say, often. Her love for her “people” was unparalleled. If you knew her your were lucky, and I am sure you would say she was your bestie too, because Lins made everyone feel that special. That was one of her many special qualities.

So next time your having a rough day, or moment, try to give yourself grace, for you are here experiencing life, even the hard parts, and someone like Lins wouldn’t want you to waste a second of it on nonsense.

I know what i want under my tree this year… New hair!
