More moms with young children are working today than before the pandemic. Flexible jobs have helped. But rising costs are also pushing families to rely on two incomes.
The New York Times spoke with Cameron H. of Louisiana, a Strolling Thunder™ alum. She and her husband pay about $550 a month for preschool for their 3-year-old. With another baby on the way, they decided Cameron will leave her job because child care for two children would cost too much.
It’s a hard choice. And it’s one too many families are facing.
