Marin Green Business Spotlight: 🛋️
Make It Home recently recertified as a Marin Green Business, continuing its commitment to sustainability, reuse, and community support. This nonprofit provides gently used furniture and household goods to newly-housed foster kids, formerly homeless families and individuals who would otherwise move into an empty apartment — while keeping usable furnishings out of the landfill. Just last year they diverted more than 22,000 items, or nearly 1.5 million pounds, from the landfill! They also minimize the impact of their warehouse operations through energy and water conservation, sustainable purchasing practices, and by partnering with other green businesses. We are so grateful to have Make It Home in Marin and as part of the Green Business Network!
This video highlights their Re*New Upholstery Program and how it relates to the Certified Green practices. Reach out to to learn more and find their Green Business listing at Search.GreenBusinessCA.org!

Last week, we partnered with , Sonoma and Napa Counties, and various industry partners on a North Bay Contractor Training and Forum.
We hosted 80 participants at the Petaluma Veterans Hall where local contractors received heat pump water heater trainings from A.O. Smith and SanCo2.
BayREN will continue these contractor training all over the Bay Area this year. Visit BayREN’s website in our bio or go to www.bayren.org/hpwh-trainings for upcoming events.
