SVCREATES is proud to award 2026 Unrestricted Operating Grants to 74 organizations—groups that represent the incredible range of diverse disciplines, cultural practices, and programming in Santa Clara County! Thank you for all of the work you do for our arts community!

SVCREATES’ Unrestricted Operating Grants, offered in partnership with the County of Santa Clara, provide general operating support for small and mid-size nonprofit arts and culture organizations that:

🔴 Reflect the dynamic, diverse, and innovative character of Santa Clara County

🔴 Demonstrate commitment to equity, inclusion, and artistic vibrancy and relevance

🔴 Positively impact the County’s cultural ecosystem through active and sustained engagement with audiences, volunteers, and artists

🔴 Pursue organizational sustainability in service to the local community

The Unrestricted Operating Grant is SVCREATES’ longest-running grant program, with funding made possible with support from the County of Santa Clara, California and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

We are thrilled to welcome three new members to the SVCREATES Board of Directors: Teresa Alvarado, Founder and Principal, Morado Consulting; Kelli Chou, Marketing and Events Manager; and Katia McClain, Partner, Steinberg Hart. They join a dynamic and active Board of thirteen members, chaired by Tim Leehane. Board members are thought leaders and strategists, providing critical guidance, inspiration, and oversight as they work to advance SVCREATES’ mission and strategic priorities.
