We got to build that muscle last week during our Summer Youth Leadership Academy.

“As part of our SYLA 2022 program, we got to interview some key leaders in our community of Long Beach!

We interviewed Lean Cheun, Executive Director of Khmer Girls in Action about the importance of Mental Health, and LBUSD Deputy Superintendent Dr. Tiffany Brown about her thoughts on Transformative Education. We felt hopeful and inspired after gaining real insight on these topics! It was an incredible experience to interview these two leaders and we hope to share space with them again!
