I’ve admired the thoughtful work of for years and knew she was the perfect person to write a poem for Strand. She has a gift for finding the right words, speaking truth, and for gently pushing boundaries.

In this piece, she gives language to the duality of a spiritual life on earth—the hope and the disappointment—while holding an underlying assurance that none of it is without purpose.

As with all of our pieces, Strand arrives with a letterpressed copy of a poem written specifically for this project, as our gift to you.
