House Bill 4075 has officially passed the Oregon Legislature, delivering a critical step forward for Bay Area Hospital and the community it serves.

This bipartisan effort allows the State to help refinance the hospital’s existing debt, addressing a major financial challenge and avoiding a future funding cliff. Bay Area Hospital has made strong progress in recent months, and this action helps ensure that momentum can continue without disruption to care.

Without a solution, the hospital was facing serious consequences including potential layoffs, reduced services, and fewer available beds. This bill helps protect access to care for patients across the region and supports the healthcare workers who serve them every day.
