Volunteers Needed! OWLS Mary Leonard Chapter Quarterly Community Service Opportunity

Saturday, July 27, 2024 - OWLS-MLC and Mission Street Parks Conservancy Bush Park Clean Up Event

8:30 am - 11 am, Bush's Pasture Park - 600 Mission St SE, Salem

Meet at the picnic tables under the Oak tree in between the Bush House and the Art Barn. We will be weeding and mulching the floribunda tea rose collection. Wear durable clothing and sturdy close-toed shoes, and gloves. Hand tools, wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes will be available for use. (Yeah, it is yard work -but it needs to be done). Our volunteer foreman, Michael, is a certified aesthetic pruner and would be happy to give a light 'tree pruning for health' and pruning tools mini-class as part of the day. (Pruning tips!)
