Such a great turnout at our ladies luncheon and tea! We love when our table hostesses bring their creativity to this annual event. We hope everyone enjoyed their time chatting and fellowshipping with each other. As always, we hope to see everyone at our next meeting!
This past Friday, our Ladies League partnered with the Salado Area Republican Women to read, and pass out coloring sheets, to the local 2nd graders at Thomas Arnold Elementary. The coloring sheets were themed with America's 250th birthday. The readings were themed around the Constitution. It was such a joy to see the kids excited about America's 250th birthday. We look forward to the next community event!
This past Thursday, our Ladies League enjoyed a real treat! We had the privilege of hearing the history of Salado's own Tyler House. Once we were regaled with the storied tales of how it came to be, we were given the opportunity to tour it in person. The current owners have completely remodeled it and have turned it into a short-term rental. The finishes are beautiful and the space has been well laid out. Check out the photos of this Salado landmark. We hope to see you at our next meeting (which will be our Mothers Day Tea in May)!
Yesterday, we had a lot of fun learning about the rich history of our region of Texas. Pam Anderson brought a great presentation jam-packed with info about the Brazos Trail, preservation efforts, and all sorts of nuggets about past and present Texas. Who knew that just down the way, there's a massive archeological site (The Gault Site) just teeming with artifacts still yet to be uncovered?! Check out https://texastimetravel.com/regions/brazos-trail/ for further information.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
