I had an amazing evening Minnesota JCC celebrating an evening of the Salam Shalom Jazz Project by Jesse Simon and Omar Abdulkarim Salam. Proud to have supported State Arts legacy funding to support the work of these fellow musicians for peace and hope. Thank you Jesse and Omar for this incredible work and dedication to jazz with and for the people. I had flashbacks of drumming here during summer youth camps back in jr high/high school days. One love to the beautiful brilliance of Caleigh for joining me after a long day of work with and for the people. Paz y Pa’lante.

I can’t believe it’s been a year. It Hurts everyday.. Melissa, Mark and Gilbert. Thank you always. Madam Speaker. I am grateful for your support, leadership, challenge and commitment. You’re in my heart forever and I hold that as a reminder to live, love, breathe, mother and take time for myself with the ones I love the most. Minnesota will forever love you always. Candles lit last night and I left you some tequila and Barrilito out. My prayers go out to your children, parents and closest family members who you adored. Fuerza y luz. Siempre.
