I fought hard to pass strong anti-fraud measures at the Capitol this year. I will continue to take on fraudsters until we eliminate fraud in Minnesota!

I am honored to be appointed to the new Legislative Inspector General Advisory Commission.

During session, I served as the chief author of the Office of the Inspector General bill that passed with broad bipartisan support to fight fraud. Now, as a member of this commission, I will be responsible for recommending candidates to be the new inspector general and oversee the operations of this new office to make sure it is meeting our anti-fraud goals.

The last day of session is always full of thank yous and goodbyes. A big thank you goes out to Bridget, who has interned in my office all session long! She has helped with constituent services and researching bills, and she joined me for many meetings and hearings. I’m grateful for the work she did on behalf of the people of Blaine and Lexington. Wishing her great success at her next internship in D.C. this summer!

I was honored to receive a certificate of appreciation from the American Foreign Service Association for my work last year on the taxation of the pensions for these critical civil servants. Through this legislation, we’re making Minnesota an even better place for them to retire!
