This past weekend, our team assisted The United Hmong Family, Inc. In hosting the Hmong International Freedom Festival. It was a long and demanding weekend, but we successfully saw it through.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Saint Paul Police Department, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation and ASIA Security, for your support with such a remarkable event that will always be remembered as the Hmong "J4."

As we remember and celebrate the life of Lieutenant Stevie Yang — a dedicated public servant, respected leader, and loving husband and father — we want to keep supporting his young family during this incredibly difficult time.
Stevie’s wife, now caring for their precious newborn baby, is facing significant expenses for the funeral and memorial services. Every contribution helps provide stability and relief as they navigate this profound loss.

🕊️ Honoring a Life of Service, Leadership, and Legacy

This past weekend, the team at Knight Sky Protection had the profound honor of providing security services for the funeral of Dr. Wang Chao Fang (Dr. Wang Chao), a remarkable leader whose life touched countless hearts in the Hmong community and beyond.

Born on June 3, 1954, in Pha Bang, Vientiane Province, Laos, Dr. Wang Chao enlisted in the Royal Lao Army at just 18 years old. He served honorably from 1972 to 1975, including time overseeing critical operations at Long Cheng’s Military Region 2 and as a disbursing officer ensuring soldiers received their pay. He stood alongside the United States during the Secret War — a testament to his courage and dedication.

After arriving in the U.S. as a refugee in 1976 with his wife Mai Yia Fang, Dr. Wang Chao built an extraordinary life. He earned a Ph.D. in Leadership and Human Behavior, raised six successful children with his wife, and became a tireless advocate for Hmong immigrants and refugees. Through roles at social service agencies like the Lao Family Community, he helped countless families acclimate to life in America. In later years, he thrived as a successful entrepreneur, real estate investor, and motivational speaker — always giving back to his community.

His journey from wartime service to building opportunities for others is truly inspiring. Dr. Wang Chao’s warmth, wisdom, and commitment to family and community will be deeply missed, but his legacy of honor and resilience lives on in everyone he helped and inspired.

We at Knight Sky Protection are grateful to have played a small role in ensuring a respectful and secure farewell for such a great man. Rest in peace, Dr. Wang Chao. Thank you for your service and your lifelong dedication to lifting others up. 🙏
