City of St. Louis Public Notice
Notice of Sanitary Sewer Overflow

On April 15, 2026, the City of St. Louis experienced a sanitary sewer overflow near the Main Street bridge over the Pine River. The discharge was witnessed at approximately 3:30 p.m. on April 15, 2026, through the vent holes in the casting of the manhole cover and was draining directly into the Pine River. Both the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the Mid-Michigan District Health Department have been notified of this event. The recent rainfalls throughout the watershed have impacted the sanitary sewers and the area drainage. The City is continuing to monitor the conditions of our storm and sanitary sewers. Anyone requiring additional information may contact the City at 989-681-2137.
