A major turning point came in 1971 when LCL acquired O'Donell Tank Lines in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The purchase added 54 tractors, 55 tank trailers, and authority across eight Midwestern states.

More importantly, it marked LCL's entry into the liquid food grade transportation industry. From milk and corn syrup to liquid chocolate and vegetable oils, a new chapter of the company's story had begun.
