Yesterday, my baby sister lost her battle with cancer. I am so deeply grateful that I was there with her, fighting alongside her until the very end. Her wedding flowers were the first I ever styled, and I had the privilege of taking her bridal photos, styling her hair, and sharing the moment when it was just the two of us buying her dress. She truly was my first bride—and she will forever be my sweet baby sister.

The events business is different; there is no bereavement leave or sick time. The day must go on, even when your heart is shattered. I will carry her with me always, knowing she would want me to continue doing what I love. I love you Esther.
