Look, I understand the pressure that you feel every day, doing your best to provide, while fighting to be balanced and present at home.
You aim to be a good man, a loving husband, and a present father, and make the money that you need so that you can provide your family the life that you never had.
All while trying to keep your thoughts togetherโฆkeep the demons at bay.
Doing his best to hide his emotions from the ones who love him, or from the ones who will judge him.
Because either wayโฆ. it's our burden to carry.
This is to the dad out there who's trying to look like they have it all together in the eyes of their children.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
To show their children what a father looks like, what a man looks like, and what commitment and love look like.
There was a time in my life when I didn't have that figure to look up to, and because of that, it forced me to imagine what it would be like.
I had to create that figure out of short and fragmented images that I could scrap from the world that seemed to pass me by.
So who did I build?
Someone who worked hardโฆ
Someone who would not quitโฆ
Someone who would was not afraid to ask for helpโฆ
I built the person that I wish I had with me but never had the opportunity to meet.
From someone who now has a family of his own, I can tell you that it's not about the intentions that we set or plans that we make that our loved ones truly care about.
Itโs simply about showing upโฆactually being present and available.
No one cares about the dreams you have, they want their father to be presentโฆ
No one cares about how much money there is if Dad isn't available to celebrate life's daily winsโฆ
And the same goes for our wives.
Safety and security is just an empty shell if you are not there to fill the void.
We often feel that the world is on our shoulders, but that is because the strong are meant to carry the load for the ones around us.
It feels heavy because you careโฆ
And to us, there might not ever be โenoughโ....there might always feel like there is more to be done.
More workโฆ
More planningโฆ
More actionโฆ
But then ask yourselfโฆ.would life be worth it if it were all taken away?
Strive on.

The biggest reason people don't take action to financially protect their families is because they feel that they can't afford it.
That spending a few extra dollars simply isn't "in the cards".
In other words.....they value their present reality of leaving their loved ones EXPOSED and UNPROTECTED over the thought of parting with the money.
INVESTING $30 bucks a month = BAD...... SPENDING an unexpected $15,000 on a funeral = acceptable.
INVESTING $100 bucks a month = NO BUENO......LOSING a household income and benefits = understandable.
INVESTING $300 bucks a month = TO MUCH.....RETURNING their house and forcing the family to move out = fair and reasonable.
No matter what, someone will have to PAY for the decisions we make....or DON'T make.
The only question to ask....
Do you want someone to be YOU? Or do you want to leave that responsibility to someone else?
The Choice is yours

Comment "PROTECT" ๐
Some people do some CRAZY mental flips why they CAN'T do something.
Why they CAN'T protect their loved ones because they....
"Don't see the value".
"Can't make the budget work".
"Don't think they would qualify".
And to them, this is why they CAN'T protect.....
Their Spouse
Their Kids
Their savings
Their retirement....
The problem with this is that it's that exact line of thinking that has LED them into your current reality.
If they can't see the value in protecting their families then they were never going to prepare to begin with...
If they can't find the budget then they are not willing to prioritize family over another expenditure....
If they don't think you would qualify then they will never even ask what's available...
And all this does is put the people we leave behind in a position to clean up the MESS that we created for them.
The thing is.....we ALWAYS have a choice to do what's best for our loved ones.... especially if it's uncomfortable in the short term.
No one WANTS to think about paying for their funeral....but we all PASS AWAY in the end...
No one WANTS to put more money aside each month....but the BILLS will come to our families sooner or later...
No one wants to have an uncomfortable conversation about their health and what they might qualify for.....but our HEALTH will fail all of us when our time comes.
So the choice we have is...do we do what's right today.....or do we leave what's hard for others tomorrow?
Food for thought.
