🛒 Walmart Supercenter and Fuel Station Approved for East St. Cloud as Growth Continues Along U.S. 192

EAST ST. CLOUD, Fla. — East St. Cloud’s rapid growth continues as plans have been approved for a new 187,400-square-foot Walmart Supercenter and fuel station on approximately 40 acres along U.S. 192, just east of the Narcoossee Road intersection.

The new Supercenter and future Walmart fuel station will be developed on approximately 22 acres of the property and are expected to anchor a major retail destination with room for additional restaurants, shops, and service businesses, creating a new commercial hub in one of Osceola County’s fastest-growing areas.

The property was sold by SLS Investments of Central Florida, owned by the Sheive family, with the transaction brokered by Legacy Realty of Central Florida.

“It’s exciting to see this property come full circle,” said Randy Sheive, who purchased the property more than 20 years ago. “We believed in this location years ago, and while the timing wasn’t right then, it’s incredibly rewarding to see that vision become a reality.”

Sheive originally purchased the property in 2005 and entered into an agreement with developers to bring a Walmart-anchored project to the site. That effort was ultimately halted by the national recession, and a later multifamily proposal in 2023 also did not move forward. The property’s selection for the Walmart development marks the realization of a vision more than two decades in the making.

While no construction timeline or opening date has been announced, the approval of the development plans marks another significant milestone in East St. Cloud’s continued growth and economic development.
