Kito has known a life of neglect — but her heart is still wide open 💔💕
Rescued from the same heartbreaking backyard breeding situation, where dozens of cats were deprived of proper care, Kito is now safe thanks to the tireless efforts of St. Johns County Animal Control and Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue 🙏🐾 What she’s been through is difficult to imagine… yet somehow, she still chooses gentleness.
Kito is a Blue Point Himalayan born in March of 2021 with the most striking blue eyes 💙 — the kind that seem to quietly ask for love, safety, and reassurance. Beneath her somewhat shy nature is a deeply affectionate soul who also loves to play with feather toys 🪶🐱 We’re starting to see her bloom 🌸
When you sit quietly with her, Kito leans in… then gently pushes her head into your hand, asking for pets in the sweetest, softest way 🤍 It’s her way of saying she wants love — she just needs a moment to feel safe first. And recently, we’ve begun to hear it: a soft, gentle purr 🎶 A tiny, beautiful sound that feels like hope and a little spark of playfulness ✨
Right now, her coat tells part of her story. There’s a yellowish tint to her fur, a result of poor nutrition — something we often see in neglected color point cats. But this isn’t permanent 🌱 With proper care and good nutrition, her coat will transform over the coming weeks into the soft, snow-white beauty it was always meant to be ❄️ And just like her fur, Kito herself is in the process of becoming who she was always meant to be 💫
One thing is clear: the cat café environment is overwhelming for her. Surrounded by activity and other cats, Kito retreats inward. It’s not where she thrives. What she truly needs is a calm, loving home 🏡 — a quiet space where she can finally exhale, feel safe, and let her true personality shine.
You can already see it in her eyes 👀 In the way she leans into your hand. In that quiet little purr that’s just beginning to emerge 💞 … if you believe the quiet ones deserve a chance to blossom… and if you’ve ever dreamed of sharing your life with a purebred Himalayan but wanted to choose rescue instead — Kito is waiting for you 🐾💙

Puma is a quiet little success story in the making.
Born in March 2025, this beautiful Russian Blue came from the same heartbreaking backyard breeding situation, but you wouldn’t fully know it by the way she’s moving forward. Puma has been steadily finding her footing and is doing remarkably well as she adjusts to a safer, more loving world.
She’s curious about what’s around her and has started showing interest in getting out of her condo to explore. While she’s still taking things in at her own pace, there’s a confidence growing in her. She’s more on the outgoing side compared to some of the others, but still has that laid-back, thoughtful nature that makes her easy to be around.
Puma is a smart girl—you can see her watching, learning, and figuring everything out before she makes her move. It’s all very intentional with her, and it’s part of what makes her so special.
She has all the classic Russian Blue traits: gentle, observant, quietly affectionate, and deeply connected once she feels safe. There’s a softness to her, but also a quiet strength.
Puma is still young and already showing so much promise. With a little time and a loving home, she’s going to grow into an incredible companion. She’s truly a precious soul, just beginning to discover how good life can be.

The Fruit Loop Mama and babies are heading to the clinic today for their surgeries. They will return to their foster grandma late tomorrow afternoon for 2 days of a little recovery and rest and then they will join all the other precious kitties at the Frisky Cat Cafe. Their foster feels confident they will make THE BEST companion kitties. Each one has a distinct personality but all of them are sweet, playful and affectionate. This is what their foster has to say about her experience, “I am grateful for the lots of visitors, big and small, who have helped me love on and socialize them. It has been quite the experience, one I won’t forget and will treasure!”
If you’re interested in adopting these sweet babies or Mama Peach, please visit the Frisky Cat Cafe to meet them and fill out an application.
