Motorcycle Inspection
Regularly check your bike’s lights, signals, mirrors, brakes, & fuel system. Bikes with anti-lock braking systems (ABS) can help prevent skidding.

Safety Courses
New riders should take a motorcycle safety course, & experienced riders can benefit from refresher courses. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) offers online and in-person classes.

Gear Up
Wear protective gear such as leather or durable long pants & sleeves, gloves, eye protection, & sturdy boots. Use a white full-face Department of Transportation-approved helmet, replacing it every 3–5 years or after a crash.

Be Seen
Increase visibility by wearing bright colors & reflective elements, using your headlight at all times, riding in the lane section most visible to drivers, & honking if unsure you’re seen.

Be Alert
Watch for distracted drivers, road hazards, & sudden lane changes. Stay cautious near parked cars and intersections, where left-turn collisions are common.

Don’t Drink or Speed
Avoid alcohol & obey speed limits to reduce accident risk.

Avoid Bad Weather
If riding in rain or wind, wear appropriate gear & adjust your riding.

Obey Traffic Laws
Follow all rules, including using turn signals & staying in your lane.

Safety for Other Drivers
Motorcyclists have equal rights on the road. Check blind spots, signal intentions, & maintain a safe following distance. Never share lanes with motorcycles & watch for their signals & sudden moves.

We had a great time at the K9s United race this past weekend supporting an organization that does incredible work for law enforcement K9 teams.
K9s United helps provide equipment, training, and protection for police dogs—making sure they’re just as prepared and protected as the officers they serve alongside.
I was especially proud to have some extra help at our tent this year—my daughters jumped in and did an awesome job connecting with everyone who stopped by.
