The max sprint test

The cornerstone for understanding one’s own current movement ability and functionality. The max sprint determines where we are currently at with our physical capabilities and overall physical health.

Because most movements are based on gait cycle mechanics, this test gives us an idea where our dysfunctions lie. A few examples of what we examine include:

Is there an excessive hip hike?

Are the ankles collapsing?

Is there a knee Valgus?

Does the thoracic spine extend or is it Kyphotoic?

Which scapula wings out more prominently?

Does the pelvis rotate to both sides or just to one?

These are all things that can be identified in a max sprint test. From this we can then determine where to focus towards to get the body moving correctly.
