Three years ago, I shared my oldest son’s graduation. Today, it’s my second son’s turn. Two graduations down, and the next one isn’t for another seven years. Hopefully we’ll all still be here sharing these milestones together when that day comes.

He was only 5 years old when we started building the nail salon. I still remember him playing with his toys, contently entertaining himself while we worked long days trying to create something from nothing.

As he’s grown, he hasn’t spent nearly as much time at the salon, but he has stepped in over the years to help his dad with projects whenever an extra set of hands was needed. Watching him grow from that little boy into a young man ready for his next chapter has been incredibly special.

I’m not sure my kids aspire to own a business after watching me all these years, but I hope they learned one thing from the journey: a life you’re proud of is built, not given. They watched me turn a passion into something meaningful through hard work, and that lesson is worth more than anything I could ever leave behind.
