We wrapped up the season at Spring Fling, our last tournament, which was exclusively for new competitors. The results are here!!

Results :

Hadjer Mouderres - 4th place in Impromptu, 1st place in extemp, and Gold in IPDA 🏆

It was also awards season for our region,
Jason Sabbadini - LD debater of the year 🏆

Lastly but definitely not least, a huge congratulations to our coach, Jared Anderson receiving the prestigious Tony Bernacchi “Distinguished Service” award 🏆

Only one bid per school will be offered. All applications will be evaluated and ranked by a three person committee and the winning bids will be announced.

It’s almost time for the 2026 Nicholas F. Burnett Hornet Cup hosted by Sacramento State’s Speech and Debate Team!

As part of this event, we will be hosting a Round Robin tournament on March 20, where we will be requiring the participation of volunteer judges. No prior speech and debate experience is required!
