What do we have here....
My 3rd car of the day that I’ve done tuning on! I’m tired and it’s been a loooong day, but this car was cool to work on. My first car was a Subaru running Cobbsport. 2nd car a boosted GTO to get it ready to hit my dyno! This gem is a VERY well put together Bel Air with an LS3/6L80E Tranmission. This is my second visit to the car. First visit found that the previous tuner had tuned the car around some very troubling mechanical discrepancies! One of which was the PCV system was completely closed up!!!! The oil fill cap blew off into my hand from the positive pressure in the crankcase!!!!
The car idled at 900rpm, the cam surge was atrocious. It pushed through the stock converter...
So just some minor adjustments tonight to get it prepped for some dyno time, I got the idle down to 650 and all but eliminated the cam surge and bucking. I can wait to see the numbers this car puts down!!!!

I don't get too many GTO's anymore. Rare cars and especially ones as nice as these. But I was glad to help this customer out. He got it tuned by another shop and he just wasn't happy with the way the car felt. So I took on the challenge. I was able to make 38 more RWHP. I cleaned up a TON of the s**t file that was loaded into this car. I got rid of all of his complaints!!!! He was so excited, we are doing more mods to the car for his next round. So a super excited customer with a great driving car and a lopey idle! And I drive the car, it accelerates from a stop with ease, it doesn't die coming to a stop light. I dropped his idle to 700 rpm for the cam lope. I got rid of the "pinging" his motor was making. I had to take the extra time to do it, but it was well worth it to get a happy customer here. @ Sac Speed Shop

That cold start and high idle. It's stock...trust me! All throttle no bottle! 300rwhp, I swear!
