This past weekend was the 33rd annual National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Hundreds of local residents donated non-perishable items and the US postal service picked up at home mailboxes and in coordination with Old Orchard Beach Salvation Army the food was allocated to local pantries and meal programs. A team of S**o Meals Program volunteers met yesterday morning and 20 USPS mail totes were picked up, sorted, and will be made available to our guests on Thursday. A great variety to fill our giving table!! Thanks to USPS, OOB Salvation Army, all who donated, and to the volunteers that helped to pick up and sort through everything!! A great event!
