The City of Rutledge mayor, aldermen and city employees would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Just a reminder we will be closed tomorrow the 26th and will be back open on Monday December 29th at 8:00 am.

Rutledge Christmas Parade is today at 1:00. It’s going to be a beautiful day so come on out and enjoy the final parade of the season for Grainger County.

"The City of Rutledge is accepting applications for the Utility Department. The ideal candidate must have experience in the daily water & sewer operations, with the ability to obtain Grade III sewer certification within two years of employment among other duties as assigned. A current Grade III is preferred. Applicants must be able to pass a background check & drug test. We offer a generous benefits package. The City of Rutledge is accepting applications for a part-time general laborer. Job duties will include lawncare, daily maintanence & upkeep of city owned properties, general house keeping, and other duties as needed. Experience with operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and tractor with a boom mower attachment is required. Driver's License must be valid. Work hours will generally be 7:00 am - 3:00 pm two-three days per week. Pay will depend on experience. Applications can be picked up at city hall Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00. Must apply in person.
