Y’all welcome Julian Barbosa to the !
is going into his senior year at Wylie East High School. He is primarily a pitcher but also plays in the outfield as well. His goal is to reach his full potential on the field so he can earn a scholarship to play baseball at the collegiate level next year!
Our training objective over the next few months is going to be focused on improving his explosive strength, power output and maximal strength.
Starting metrics:
Sumo deadlift: 385lbs
Box Squat: 315lbs
Transverse broad jump: 7’
Vertical: 22”
Body weight: 166lbs
Exit Velo: 80mph
Throwing Velo: 80mph
60 Time: 7.133
10 Yard Fly: 1.348
I’m really excited to see Julian’s progress over this next year. He will be able to do incredible things on the field after he gets bigger, stronger and more explosive!

We are hosting the legendary Murph workout, and we want the entire Arete Crew there!
A Murph is a 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, 300 squats and another 1 mile run.
