We have ’Henon’ bamboo leaf tea in stock! For the Oriental/Chinese medicine practitioners among you, this Phyllostachys nigra (Henonis) is the original herb for Dan Zhu Ye 淡竹葉茶, rather than the substitute Lophatherum Gracile that has dominated the market for over a century.

It has a flavor similar to a Japanese Bancha 番茶 with a mild grassy note and sweet note that comes out the longer it steeps or boils.

Since availability is limited we are charging $20 for the 3 oz. (~85 grams) package. If you have a Henon grove in Texas, contact us.
