I’ve been really surprised lately to learn just how many people want to be a pilot.

And I’m not just talking about guys and girls in their 20s.

I’m talking about doctors, lawyers, dentists, veterinarians, and even funeral directors!

That’s right - there are a surprising amount of established professionals that dream of being a pilot.

Some of them are well into their 40s, with children, a house mortgage, and a good job.

But they just can’t stop thinking about it. You know what I mean. They have that “itch.”

They dream to leave their offices and the 9-to-5 traffic commute - and instead roll down the runway at 120knots, lifting the nose and soaring through the clouds.

I can’t blame them, it does beat having to “work” for a living!

But the thing is, they’re just not sure if it’s a good idea.

They don’t know how long it will take, and if they will be able to afford the initial expense.

They’re even afraid their families will think they’re crazy!

Maybe you know someone “of a certain age” that has always wanted to be a pilot.

(Maybe it’s you.)

There are a lot of questions to ask about how to do it.

And unfortunately, it’s hard to find the straight answers.

And in most places you look, you’ll find nothing but negativity.

But it’s a fact that someone in his or her 40’s CAN begin a career as a pilot.

It happens all the time.
