From Tori: Words of Gratitude to Insight and the Mustard Tree Foundation!

"My struggles going into outpatient were making genuine girl friendships, vanity issues/ eating disorder, having a big ego/and reverse ego, my emotions being 100 one day and -100 the next day, putting my validation in other humans weather that be people in my outpatient, counselors, my parents and etc.
Getting out of outpatient I made a decent amount of progress. I had begun on step 5 and started learning how to be a genuine friend and have deep friendships. I learned how to care about others in ways I hadn’t before, like holding them accountable and looking out for people's best interests. I slowly learned how to let myself be loved by others and also not take myself too seriously. i learned life is all about balance and it is only what you make out of every situation.
Today I have a year and 9 months sober! I shoot for 3 AA meetings a week, I’m on step 9 with my sponsor, I have a home group that I do service work for, and I have close girl friendships that mean the world to me. I work full time and plan to go to nursing school in the fall. I’m forever grateful for the mustard tree scholarship and for giving me these opportunities I’ve had this past year or so! I couldn’t imagine where I would be without it and, thankful that there is no top to the mountain and I can continue to do this for as long as I can imagine.

Word From The Awesome Kylie! The Mustard Tree Foundation Is So Proud of you!
www.mustardtreefoundation.org
The Mustard Tree Foundation has been an incredible source of support for me, not only providing the financial assistance I needed for treatment but also offering a chance to truly embrace life again. Their generosity allowed me to focus on my healing without the constant stress of medical bills, but it didn’t stop there. Through their community, I was able to connect with others, make meaningful friendships, and rediscover joy through laughter and shared experiences. Today I'm almost 3 years sober and I couldn't have gotten this far without the help. Without the Mustard Tree, I honestly don’t know where I’d be today – they gave me not just the means to survive, but the opportunity to live life again.
