‘Christmas Tree Cluster’: Telescope snaps festive stars 2500-light-years away A beautiful cosmic tree called NGC 2264, also known as the "Christmas Tree Cluster," was spotted in our Milky Way Galaxy. And no, it's not an actual tree, but a bunch of young stars hanging out together in the cosmic expanse, about 2,500 light-years away from the Earth.
