📢 The Leadership Institute is an initiative by the American Academy of Dermatology to provide dermatologists with training, mentoring, and networking for leadership development.
Registration is now open for several new and returning programs, including:
🔷 Leadership Forum: A weekend that provides an opportunity to advance your leadership and communication skills while networking with colleagues. Learn about your own leadership style, how to resolve conflicts, and more.
🔷 Advanced Leadership Forum: A highly interactive weekend that provides an opportunity to advance leadership and communication skills while networking with colleagues. Learn about your leadership style, demystify the policy process, and more.
🔷 Academic Dermatology Leadership Program: A year-long program that includes the Leadership Forum plus training sessions and a mentor relationship. Learn how to address the unique challenges of academic dermatology practice.
🔷 AAD Mentorship Program: Use our mentorship database to find a mentor or register to share your expertise as a mentor. Give back to a young dermatologist, or learn from a mentor who has an established practice.
🔷 Clinical Practice Dermatology Leadership Program: A year-long program that includes the Leadership Forum plus training sessions and a mentor relationship. Designed for emerging leaders in private and organizational health care settings.

As misinformation and viral skin care trends continue to influence public perceptions, it is more important than ever for dermatologists to spread evidence-based information with clarity and authority.
Media engagement is one of the most effective ways to amplify your expertise.
On July 18, attend the session, "Media 101: Communicating Your Message and the Specialty with Confidence" to learn from a panel of dermatologists with extensive media experience, including Drs. Angela Lamb, Anthony Rossi, Elizabeth Houshmand, and Shoshana Marmon.
