To all you ballers out there and parents of TRUE BALLERS, much love! Baseball/Softball is a beautiful game. Respect for the game comes in many forms, one of the ways is to PRACTICE your craft routinely and properly. Yes, of course it’s just a game; however if the goals are lofty the WORK it takes is tremendous. You can’t go through the motions and have any expectation of success.

Dedication, love of the game, desire (not wish) to be great….. these are qualities very few young players truly have. They will tell you otherwise because it’s the “cool thing to say” , but parents you should LISTEN to your players actions on a daily basis. Those actions will tell the true mentality of your child. After the age of 11 if you are still pulling teeth to get your child to practice on their own and sacrifice other pleasures; I would HIGHLY SUGGEST not paying exorbitant amounts of money for training and travel teams. Your child doesn’t love it and they aren’t practicing in a way that correlates to dollars and time spent.
It is exhausting as a coach to watch players go season to season or month to month in lessons without significant improvement due solely to the fact they don’t practice enough or properly.
If you are in this situation with your young player, STOP the lessons, STOP the travel team and WAIT to see if your child asks to go back……you would be amazed at how many don’t even bat an eye and find something else to do🤘💯 #baseballtraining #Baseball #hittingcoach #reality #practicehabits #mentality 08/03/2024
