Hi everyone! It was good to see a great turnout at the village Board of Trustees meeting last night! At that meeting, we learned that there is an open trustee seat. As many of you know, I have run for village trustee a couple of times now. Thus, at last night's closing public comment I expressed my continued interest to serve as a Trustee for you in this village we know and love. My roots here are deep with my family ties that include the Reardons and Mortons in the 1800s, to the more recent Dietlins, Buschs and Smiths (my grandfather who owned the Wm Geo Smith Hardware here that opened in 1925). It's rare that I miss a trustee meeting, so I'm very aware of the current concerns and issues. I'm currently a member of the Romeo Rotary, and have served for 3 years on the Village Tree Board and HDC, and now ZBA as well. I volunteer at the Romeo Kezar Library Archives and have volunteered for the DDA at many events. It sounds busy, but never too busy for this place of my birth, and place that is home! Being appointed as trustee means that I would give up the village board seats, but it will be worth it to do a greater service to you.
