Floyd County Emergency Management

Thank you to EMA Volunteer Marshall Rice for teaching our CERT Explorers about maps and land navigation.

We discussed the compass and how search and rescue teams use technology to track operations. Later on we went outside and used the skills in an actual scavenger hunt.

Our CERT Explorers toured Station 3 this week and had some good lessons from the fire fighters on duty from the Rome-Floyd Fire Department. Youth ages 14-20 can still sign up by visiting us online at FloydCountyEMA.com
