I had to share this post that has been making it's rounds on FB! You think a natural company is safe…. Look again 🫣👇👇👇

In the past few months I’ve noticed a increase in Annie's Organic brand food items. I’ve also seen it on sale for most of the time, yay! A sale, right?! WRONG😞. Its been our go-to brand whenever we want a “junk treat” I grab any and everything Annie's. It says organic, so it HAS to be healthy or better for my family than the other stuff. Right?

Did you know that Babyganics paid out over $2.2 MILLION in a class action lawsuit over "false advertising" last year?

Seventh Generation safe? Nope, they've got a lawsuit for deceptive labeling too!

What's this got to do with Annie's you ask?

So I did a little digging....

Glyphosate, the most widely used agricultural pesticide in the WORLD, was found in General Mills products, including cereals like Cheerios and Lucky Charms.

Guess who has a class action lawsuit because their food causes CANCER....

General Mills.

Guess who now owns Annie's organics?

General Mills.

Part of that lawsuit includes removing

'Made with 100% Natural Whole Grain Oats’ from its Nature Valley granola bar labels because ya know, glyphosate isn't natural! 🙈

If they lie about one product don't ya think they'd like about others too?

On top of all this, they also use GMOs... In their products made in the United States.

The Cheerios that General Mills sells in Europe do not have GMO ingredients which means they CAN make Cheerios without GMOs. BUT the company doesn't care enough about the health of American families to do so.

Why do you think they'd be genuine and honest about their "organic" line of food?

They spent $1.1 MILLION to oppose Proposition 37 in California, which would have required the labeling of GMO foods in that state.

The spent over a million dollars to keep their customers from knowing they're buying genetically modified food!-E.Fleur

🤯
If Red 40 kills a plant (below), what do you think it’s doing to your cells?
Below is a picture of a simple science experiment (done by a friend's 4 yr old) of how different food coloring changes the color of the celery plant.. Well, take notice of the red 40...it KILLED the celery plant in just a day! Red 40 is in a lot of candy and processed foods, Gatorade, vitamins, etc 🤔🤔😶 just removing foods with artificial colorings/dyes could substantially change your child behavior, mood, hyperactivity, etc.

You would be amazed at how a child's behaviour can change from cleaning up the diet!

Today I am highlighting Swiss Chard or Rainbow Chard its also known as the king of dark green leafy vegetables.
Chard is one of the fabulous vegetables that grows easily year-round in your tower garden.
Swiss chard adds color and vibrance to your tower and to your diet!
Remember to “Eat the rainbow?”
What better way than to grow and enjoy a veggie that even has a rainbow in its name!
Contrary to popular belief it did not originate in Switzerland but in the Mediterranean …Which ironically is one of the healthiest places to dine right?
Chard is a member of the “chenopodioideae” family which includes beets & spinach.
Known for growing in poor conditions and coming in many beautiful colors this green packs a ton of versatility and nutrition onto your tower and table!
Pleasing to the eye chard adds beautiful color to your tower garden and just one cup of cooked Swiss chard contains:
• Calories: 35
• Protein: 3.3 grams
• Carbs: 7 grams
• Fiber: 3.7 grams or 15% of your RDI (Recommended Daily Intake)
• Vit. A: 214 % of your RDI
• Vit. C: 53% RDI
• Vit. E: 17% RDI
• Calcium: 10%
• Copper: 14%
• Magnesium: 29%
• Manganese: 29%
• Iron: 22%
• Potassium: 27%
As you can see an exceedingly small amount of chard can help to fulfill many daily nutrient requirements and is incredibly low in calories!
Swiss Chard is extremely high in antioxidants, including beta carotene and flavonoids which may help to prevent certain conditions like heart disease and lung cancer. The fiber in a cup of swiss chard is important in helping to prevent certain cancers, promote heart health and maintain your weight.
How to use Swiss Chard?
• Sauté with coconut oil
• Add to scrambled eggs (my favorite)
• Use in hearty soups & stews
• Add to salads
• Toss into a smoothie
• Rub leaves with olive oil and sea salt and make baked chips
• Sauté in olive oil and garlic for a nice side dish
• Use in place of basil for pesto
• Toss into pasta dishes
• Pickle it
• Blend into hummus.
• Add to your pizza toppings
• Add to a frittata
• Put it in your favorite casserole dishes
Swiss chard is a mild nutrient dense, flavorful, and easy to grow addition to your diet and your Tower Garden!

Hope this inspires you to get Growing!
