Way to go, Ethan!! Keep being awesome!

Ethan Brown is already giving Illinois fans something to watch before the season tips off. A 6-foot-4 freshman does not usually get this much buzz in Champaign unless the staff sees a real chance for him to help sooner than expected. We have seen plenty of newcomers come and go, and this one has the look of a kid who might force his way onto the floor.

Congratulations to our last RHS Seated Summer School Student of the Week for this summer, Ms. Gracey Nivens!

Gracey was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Jones, for working hard daily in class. Mrs. Jones says, "Gracey has been able to catch up on her English and has done a wonderful job on getting caught up. I am very proud of her!"

Each year, Mr. Bennett Zink gifts his art seniors a personalized Funko Pop that he designs and paints himself. Enjoy the Class of 2026 Funko Pops!

Tomorrow is the official start to the 2026-27 school year. For our last post from this school year, RHS would like to give a shout out to our nine administrative assistants who work tirelessly each day to run this building. Thank you for your dedication to our students and staff to make RHS a great place to be! You are all very much appreciated!

Additional note, today is Mrs. Wood's last day at RHS before she starts her retirement. Thank you for your 33 year tenure to our school!

Thank you to Champions of Rolla Education (CORE) for sponsoring a luncheon during 4th quarter to recognize about 70 students who were nominated to be one of RHS's Students with Pride. Administrators and counselors nominate students each quarter for a variety of reasons--grades, attendance, improvement, being awesome, etc--and CORE then provides a lunch for them!

Whether you are inspiring minds in the classroom, guiding hearts in the Counseling Center, or keeping us fueled and smiling in the cafeteria, our school wouldn't be the same without you. We hope you all celebrate big on your fantastic day and we wish each of you a healthy, joyful, and deeply rewarding year ahead!
