We are starting to get some reports in. Our guys are out checking roads as we speak. I know we have tons of flooded roads and some washouts. Please let us know of any damage and stay weather aware and please do not call dispatch to report a flooded road. Looks like another round could hit this afternoon. Stay safe everyone!
‼️⚠️The Missouri State Highway Patrol and local emergency responders continue to respond to flash flooding in Central Missouri that has affected homes, roads, campgrounds and other locations that have seen upwards of 10 inches of rain in some spots.
⚠️The National Weather Service has declared a Flash Flood Emergency for numerous locations in northwest and southern Iron County and northeast Reynolds County.
⚠️Additional rounds of thunderstorms with heavy rains are expected to continue today. They are expected to become more numerous this afternoon through late tonight.
‼️They will be especially hazardous because the ground in many parts of Missouri is saturated from days of repeated rain!
‼️Greatest threat for later today is over southeast Missouri.
‼️Do NOT attempt to cross a flooded low water crossing or bridge.
‼️NEVER drive into a flooded roadway.
Here we go again! Mother nature is off her rocker. Sounds like south of St James and Northern Phelps got hit hard. Please report any damages to Phelps County Emergency Management. If you haven't already, download the Phelps County Sheriff's Department app and there is a link to report damages. Again our contact information is on our page as well. Everyone stay safe out there!!!! Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association
Please let us know of any washouts around the county. It looks like the part of the county got lots of rain last night. Low water crossings are going to be flooded. Please note we DO NOT put water over road signs out. We have entirely too many low water crossings to even attempt that. With that being said please do not call diapatch and report water over the road. We are well aware of it but there is nothing we can do. Everyone stay safe out there!
