All beaches are now safe for swimming 🏖️

From the New York State Department of Health website, all beaches in Rocky Point are under a Water Quality Advisory, and people are urged to use caution. According to recent testing on their website, bacteria levels have dropped off at these beaches, but the advisory remains in effect until midnight tonight.

The Town of Brookhaven is proud to partner with Long Island Cares and PSEG Long Island to host a FREE Farmers Market for senior citizens on Thursday, July 16, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive fresh, mostly locally sourced produce and eggs at no cost, along with nutrition education and healthy cooking demonstrations from Long Island Cares.

Helping our seniors access healthy, nutritious food is an important part of supporting the well-being of our community, and I encourage those who are eligible to take advantage of this wonderful program.
