Every Reefers nightmare!
Went to my warehouse to knock out some water changes, feed fish and coral... Opened the door and was greeted with a faint smoke smell. While frantically unplugging everything I noticed one of my RL90 smoking at the male/female connection. Removed it from the tank let it cool down and discovered the plugs were melted together.
I started to retire this RL90 as a very expensive paper weight or door stop, but decided to bypass the m/f connectors. Powered it up and ran all lighting programs... sorta works as designed. To be on the safe side and avoid a possible fire hazard, I'll be replacing all of my Red Sea lights in the near future.
