Get it Write Editing

I love this question because it sounds like you’re trying to be conscious of your readers. But as an editor, what I love even more is when author is true to themselves. Because the book world is very open and accessible all across the world, more readers tend to not mind as much when there are different spellings, especially in fantasy. I wouldn’t expect an author from Australia writing about rugby (especially if it’s set in Australia) to write a book with American spelling. That leaves more room for error and might send the wrong message.
I view different spellings and phrases as a way to learn about different cultures. Write what you are comfortable with. You’ll find an audience.❤️
