For the past few years and after April 15th, there is a spike in the IRS Phone Scam where criminals contact people via telephone to advise them they are subject to criminal action by the IRS if they fail to pay fines. I have been called 9 times so far this year about this on my phone, each time it was a digitized voice and as I asked questions I kept hearing, “Still on the line.” I was board and kept them on the phone for 40 minutes asking stupid questions like when will you be coming to arrest me so I could have coffee and cookies for the agents and could I take a bag of personal items with me when you arrest me or would I have to go as I am when you arrive. I even asked if I was naked would I have the chance to get dressed.
