A self care tip!! If you can cheat away a small space and keep it simple, clean and purposeful. Think about activities that ground you. For some it may be a reading book, others a sewing corner. Make it your priority to nurture this space and it will nurture you!

When I stage homes as well as design spaces I like to think of your day in the moments that could happen. Create the space for intentional moments.

Each home, homeowner, agent, scenario, and timeline are unique. We have strategies to help guide but the only thing we are looking to replicate is our service experience. These personal words of thanks mean a lot to us.

STUFF IT! It's my business (literality) to have a quantity of throw cushions not yours! Here are my 5 tips on where to use pillows when staging your home.

1. Beds (Depending on the bed, room and décor, adding a few accent pillows of contrasting color or with texture can make simple bedding pop).

2. Sofa (Be strategic about the placement using the pillows to guide and highlight areas of the room you want people to focus on).

3. Accent Chairs (Often I put pillows on either the sofa or accent chairs not both. Look at the design and color of the chair and decide if it is more or less interesting that the pillow, add or eliminate based on this).

4. Summer Patio (Harmonize and extend the style of the interior with the exterior for the best results).

5. Entryway Bench (Reinforce the purpose of this space as a place to sit with the addition on a pillow) In each case you don't have to go crazy intentional placement and choice of color/texture is more important than quantity.

Is your bar stocked? A little dry bar moment. If you are unsure of what to put where in your home always go back to the function and how you will use the space then get a little creative displaying the items. Staged scenes show us how we COULD use the space, to inspire and evoke emotional context.
