We are aware that Gunite is hiring for Foundry/Maintenance employees. The Union (Local, Regional & International) are looking into matters along with local political figures.

In December when the wind down agreement was voted on, it was agreed upon by both Union & Accuride that if Accuride or an entity of Accuride kept Gunite open or purchased the company that Local 718 has full recall rights and that the current CBA would go back into effect.

We will keep the Local updated as we learn new information.

With a heavy heart I have to announce the passing of a former millwright Jeff Schaeffer. Jeff passed away on Friday after a short battle with stage 4 lung cancer in PA.

Prayers for his mother, daughters, girlfriend and his best friend- his dog are appreciated.

Information on the purchase of Gunite Slacks. We are still waiting on information regarding the purchase of the rest of the business.
