It's that time of year! Seeking volunteers for our 2023 tours season which begins April 1. If you would like to join a close knit group of volunteers who are passionate about serving the public, historic preservation, architecture, and honoring the Laurents, please send an e-mail with your area of volunteer interest to [email protected] or call our office at 815.877.2952. Areas include: docent (leading tours), docent assistant, museum store/gift shop, archives, and building & grounds.

Jesse Barloga's grave will be a stop on the Greenwood Cemetery Tour on Saturday, June 17. His story will be shared by local historian Marty Mangus.

Jesse Barloga: (1888- 1947) Jesse Barloga was a talented architect who shaped many of Rockford's historic neighborhoods. His Art Deco design for the Rockford News Tower still defines the city skyline.
