The Image of God Isn't What You Think | Image Bearer (Part 1) 06/27/2026

Join us at Founded in Truth Fellowship this Saturday, June 27th, for worship at 11:00 a.m. EST. Come early for fellowship and a light breakfast starting at 10:00 a.m.

This week we begin a brand-new series called “Image Bearers” with a message titled “The Image: What You Are Before You Are Anything Else.” We'll dive into Genesis 1–2 and explore the oldest thing the Bible ever says about a human being: we are made in the image of God.

In the ancient world, kings planted images of themselves in distant lands to represent their rule. Temples placed images of gods in sacred spaces to represent divine presence. But Genesis takes that whole world of statues, kings, temples, and idols and turns it upside down. The living God does not carve an image out of stone. He forms one from dust, breathes into it, and fills the earth with living images who carry His presence.

In this teaching, we’ll trace the image of God from royal statues to Eden as temple, from Adam’s breath to human vocation, from work and worship to kinship and kingship. Being God’s image is not just a compliment. It is a calling. It means you were made to represent the King, serve and guard His world, and carry the family resemblance of God into creation.

This is a message about human dignity, identity, work, vocation, worship, and what you are before sin, shame, failure, labels, or achievement ever enter the story.

Join us as we begin the Image Bearers series and discover why you are not a broken accident or a forgotten statue in the sand. You are the living image of the living God.

Shavuot 2026: Ruth Is the 50-Day Countdown You Never Noticed 05/22/2026

Join us at Founded in Truth Fellowship this Saturday, May 23rd, for worship at 11:00 a.m. EST. Come early for fellowship and a light breakfast starting at 10:00 a.m.

This week’s Shavuot message is titled “Ruth: The Promise That Stays” We'll walks through the book of Ruth and shows why Jewish communities around the world read this story during Shavuot.

Ruth is not just a love story. It is a fifty-day story, beginning at the barley harvest around Passover and ending at the wheat harvest around Shavuot. It is the Omer count in narrative form.

In this teaching, we’ll explore Ruth, Naomi, Boaz, chesed, and the God who refuses to leave. From Ruth’s vow to stay with Naomi, to Boaz spreading his wing over Ruth, to the Spirit coming at Pentecost, this message reveals Shavuot as the feast of covenant faithfulness.

If you have ever felt bitter, abandoned, or unsure what name you are supposed to answer to anymore, Ruth reminds us that redemption often begins when someone refuses to leave.

Chag Sameach. Happy Shavuot.

Donate to Help Brayden Birmele’s Family with Funeral Costs, organized by Lindsey Yandell 05/20/2026

Our church family lost Brayden Birmele yesterday in a motorcycle accident due to another drive performing an illegal U-turn. He was 18. We are grieving with Brad, Jenny, and the entire Birmele family. The GoFundMe goal has been met but the real costs will go well beyond it, and anyone who has endured funeral costs knows that. If you can give, please give despite the "goal" being met. If you can pray, please do.
