Maintaining blonde hair with extensions at home requires a bit of care and the right products to keep it looking fresh and vibrant.

Here’s a guide to help you:

❄️ Use a Purple Shampoo: To prevent brassiness, invest in a purple shampoo that neutralizes yellow or orange tones. (My favorite is Amika Bust Your Brass— it does not dry out the hair like most) use this once a week or every other week.

❄️ Deep Condition Regularly: Blonde hair and extensions can be prone to dryness, so deep conditioning treatments are essential. Use a moisturizing mask one week to keep your hair soft, hydrated, and shiny. (My favorite is Amika’s Soulfood Mask)

❄️ Protect from Heat: Blonde hair and extensions are more vulnerable to damage from heat styling. Always apply a heat protectant before using flat irons, curling irons, or blow dryers. (My favorite is Unite 8 seconds detangler for blow dry heat & UV protection. Paul Mitchell Hot Off the Press for heat styling)

❄️ Limit Washing: Washing your hair too often can strip your hair of natural oils and cause your blonde color to fade faster. Aim to wash your hair 2-3 times a week to maintain its vibrancy.

❄️ Avoid Sun Damage: UV rays can lighten blonde hair and cause it to become dull or brassy. Use a leave-in conditioner with SPF or wear a hat to protect your hair when outdoors.

❄️ Put Hydrating Oil on Extensions: Extensions can become dry overtime due to lack of natural oils from the scalp, so using hair oil on the extensions has a lot of benefits. It helps maintain hydration, prevent tangling, enhance shine, improve texture, protect against heat damage, and provide moisture. (My favorite is Verb Ghost Oil)
